One realizes, not just conceptually, but in one's senses that one is not seperate from the world, that one is the world as its one local expression”- Bai, 2001

What I do

I am a multiracial artist who visually explores diaspora, movement, and my own multiracial identity. Working digitally, I creates fragmented and organically abstract collages that reminisce on my memories between two homelands, cultures, and places of belonging. By applying abstraction and drawing on the ephemerality of the natural world, I create intense personal moments that are rooted in concepts of belonging, movement, and interconnectedness. My work pursues representation, remembering, and a reclaiming of my multi-ethnic bodily experience.
